Milwin is a hobby kennel located in Madison County, Virginia about 70 miles south of Washington, DC. We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains and Shenandoah National Park where we enjoy the beautiful rural landscape of central Virginia.  I have been involved with Australian Shepherds for more than 30 years and in that time I have bred, raised, and shown in ASCA and AKC. In the past I have trialed and titled dogs in obedience and herding with a great deal of success.  I have bred, raised, trained and handled a number of Australian Shepherds finishing their AKC and ASCA championships over the years.

Recently, we added the Miniature American Shepherd (MAS) breed to our family and I have been thrilled with ours.  Prior to full AKC recognition the breed was known as Miniature Australian Shepherds.  The Miniature American Shepherd joined the AKC Herding group in July  of 2015.  The breed was developed from the Australian Shepherd and remaining true to their ancestory I find that this breed shares many of the same qualities and characteristics of the Australian Shepherd (aussie) except they are smaller in size as you can see in the below photos.
